HUAWEI Mobile Cloud PC elevates Smart Office

HUAWEI Consumer Business Group (CBG) has announced the launch of the HUAWEI MateBook D 16, a high-performance, lightweight laptop with a vast 16-inch display, and the HUAWEI MateBook 16s, the most powerful laptop to date in the MateBook Series. Integrating state-of-the-art hardware with superior software, users can enjoy an elevated secure, smart, and seamless cloud storage experience across devices through HUAWEI Mobile Cloud PC Client.

HUAWEI Mobile Cloud is a cloud-based personal data storage and content management hub for Huawei smartphone, tablet, and PC users. Trusted by more than 34 million monthly active users in Europe, HUAWEI Mobile Cloud offers a full suite of features, including Cloud Sync, Drive, Cloud Backup, Find Device, and other cross-device services, giving users enhanced productivity, creativity, and control through a single HUAWEI ID login.

A more secure way to manage your data

Adhering to the highest European standards for user privacy, HUAWEI Mobile Cloud offers ironclad data security and protection. With a European-based data server and multi-level encryption to protect personal data, users can be assured that any information they upload and store is kept confidential, all while remaining in Europe.

“Huawei takes user security extremely seriously, with many precautions taken to protect data.  To this end, HUAWEI Mobile Services has established local data storage in 8 regional operations centres and 15 data centres worldwide, which comply with the localised service distribution and deployment policy. This means that personal information is encrypted and stored in the area to which the user belongs” said William Tian, President of Huawei’s Western Europe Consumer Business Group.

“The Huawei device global privacy compliance framework also complies with Generally Accepted Privacy Principle (GAPPs) released by the AICPA/CICA, the European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), as well as local laws and regulations around the world. This demonstrates that HMS is in a leading position in terms of personal information security management, transparency, and privacy compliance” he added.

Furthermore, HUAWEI Mobile Cloud can locate and lock a lost device, play a ringtone to help you retrieve it, or even wipe the device of all its data, to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

Seamless data management for all your needs

Featuring shared cloud storage for all your Huawei devices, multi-device synchronization and management is made simple on the HUAWEI MateBook Series. What’s more, high-speed uploads and downloads on the cloud make it even easier for you to access and edit your data when needed. HUAWEI Mobile Cloud also supports cloud backup for more than 18 types of data, enabling users to preserve and retrieve precious data across supported devices.

With HUAWEI Mobile Cloud PC Client, you can also take photos and videos on your smartphone and automatically sync them between devices, enabling you to take advantage of the seamless cloud storage experience for photos and videos. You can do the same for your online journal on your HUAWEI MatePad for example, by easily syncing it to your PC.

Achieve Smart Control through HUAWEI Mobile Cloud PC Client

HUAWEI Mobile Cloud works smart so that you don’t have to work hard. Features such as Fast-Import allow you to rapidly upload several files at once, while batch uploading to the Drive can be done in a matter of seconds.

With its clean and clear UX design, it’s also intuitive and easy to use. Providing an all-in-one workspace with a useful navigation bar, users can search Drive and Gallery files easily, providing quick access to pictures, files, and folders − including those that have been recently used. Thanks to HUAWEI Mobile Cloud’s multiple search functions, you’ll be able to find your files in the cloud at any given moment.

Now launched in more than 30 countries across Europe in over 12 local languages, HUAWEI Mobile Cloud PC Client has seen impressive growth. To mark the launch of the HUAWEI MateBook D 16 and the HUAWEI MateBook 16s, HUAWEI Mobile Cloud for PC is happy to announce an early bird offer to all HUAWEI MateBook 16s and D16 users, with 200GB cloud storage free for 3 months (valid from July 15th to Dec 31st, 2022).

All eligible users are entitled to claim the free 5GB cloud storage. To gain access to HUAWEI Mobile Cloud, users will need to have created a HUAWEI ID. This can be done free of charge when downloading HUAWEI Mobile Cloud. 30 EU participating countries include:
