Everything you need to know ahead of STEMCON 2021

Stemcon Robots, Helping Children In The Field Of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathmatics

As STEMCON, the event for children and teenagers, starts tomorrow, Top Business Tech shares everything you need to know ahead of the virtual event.

STEMCON is back, and will be taking place online this year, offering a range of online events to young people under the age of 18. Starting from tomorrow, and lasting over the course of the weekend, the public outreach program will seek to educate primary and secondary school students on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Encouraging an interest in STEM subjects

To further encourage participants to take part in as many of the events as possible, there will be a scavenger hunt. The hunt will offer robot-related prizes to participants who can assemble a catch phrase from code words hidden within the speaker, demonstration, virtual tour and DIY stem videos.

The much anticipated Sumo Bot Battle

Participants will have the opportunity to battle one another with the use of bots in five minute sessions. Though a majority of events will be available On Demand from tomorrow, the much anticipated Sumo-Bot Battle event will require pre registration due to limited capacity. Keep in mind, this event is also not apart of the scavenger hunt.
