Luxtripper among Britain’s fastest-growing companies
Luxtripper named one of Britain’s fastest-growing founder-led private companies
Luxury operator secures spot as the only travel brand in the FEBE Growth 100, celebrating most successful entrepreneurs
Luxtripper, the luxury tour operator, has been named one of Britain’s fastest-growing privately-owned businesses in this year’s FEBE Growth 100 list. Making its debut at number 34, Luxtripper is the sole travel brand to feature amongst the hotlist of British-based entrepreneurial companies.
FEBE celebrates Britain’s top founder-led businesses and aims to inspire the next generation of business leaders across all industries. Its ambassadors include founders of Bloom & Wild – Aron Gelbard, Charlie Bigham’s – Charlie Bigham, Grenade – Juliet Barratt, and former BBC Dragons Jenny Campbell and Sarah Willingham. Other brands recognised in the FEBE Growth 100 list include Gousto, NEOM and Huel. The list recognises UK-based founders who have led, and continue to drive their businesses, to deliver significant sales revenue and consistent profit.
With a portfolio that offers exotic escapes and experiences of a lifetime across all seven continents, Luxtripper curates tailormade travels with a distinct difference. From beach retreats to safaris, jungle adventures to outdoor escapades and any combination in between, the customer-centric company was founded by Nena Chaletzos in 2015 after she became frustrated with the complexity of building a multi-component luxury holiday. Luxtripper developed unique technology that makes the process of trip building easier, whilst targeting modern travellers with an industry-leading social media presence.
Commenting on the latest success, Nena Chaletzos, founder and CEO at Luxtripper, said: “We’re so proud to be featured in this year’s FEBE Growth 100 list, joining a fantastic group of Britain’s fastest-growing, founder-led businesses.
We started Luxtripper with an idea to bring technology to the luxury travel market, creating experiential, multi-destination and adventure travel for busy customers in a fraction of the time. Whilst our technology has enabled us to be disruptive, it’s our passionate and hard-working people that has made us successful. We’re looking forward to celebrating this honour with each of them and welcomed into a community which represents British entrepreneurship at its finest.”
This latest accolade from the innovative brand follows a series of successful initiatives, including an announcement at the end of 2021 that it would offer unlimited holidays and the ability to work anywhere in the world for its 100+ team members (based across the UK and India).
According to the business, which is well on track to increase its employee headcount by up to 50% by the end of 2022, the limitless leave consists of 33 days’ paid leave and then unlimited unpaid extra holiday days. Remote working is allowed from anywhere in the world as long as members of staff have a good internet connection and the ability to work UK hours.
The perks were introduced as part of a wider employee benefits overhaul, which includes cost-price holidays, structured personal development programmes, and a full employee assistance programme to provide wellbeing support for staff and their families, as needed.
The organisation is in the throes of further hiring and is currently recruiting for roles across marketing, technology, sales, customer experience, finance and product.
Nena Chaletzos, explained that she sees an investment in staff an investment in the organisation’s future, and she hopes that this new suite of benefits for employees will take the company from strength to strength.
“As a fast-growing business we’re always looking for great talent, and we want the best to join us on this exciting journey as we continue to invest in our technology and product offering to bring more incredible experiences to our clients.” she said.
Victoria Kiss, talent manager at Luxtripper, added that since the start of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, staff, who she considers to be the business’ biggest asset, went above and beyond for customers and for each other, so this was an easy decision to make.
“We’re brought together by a passion for great customer service, but also a passion for travel, and we want our employees to get out and enjoy the world as much as our customers do,” she said.
Responsible travel is also of paramount importance, with Luxtripper considering it one of its founding values and governs everything that the brand does. Animal welfare, carbon offsetting and supporting local communities in the regions they visit are fundamental considerations.
In conclusion, Nena Chaletzos added: “We want our legacy to be a positive one, and for us that means choosing suppliers from around the world who hold the same values as us when it comes to protecting our planet and preserving it for future generations.”
